Asian Muse - 34cm x 120cm - japanese Sumi ink & gold-leaf on chinese rice paper

Tried a "chaotic" process for this one.

First created the texture with japanese Sumi Ink on Chinese Rice Paper.

Then photographed the texture, took a figure-sketch I had, and tried to position the figure sketch in a way that matched the texture.

Then, applied the sketch to the paper and "carved the figure out" in negative space.

It was a very pleasant process.
