Asian Muse - 34cm x 120cm - japanese Sumi ink & gold-leaf on chinese rice paper Tried a "chaotic" process for this one. First created the texture with japanese Sumi Ink on Chinese Rice Paper. Then photographed the texture, took a figure-sketch I had, and tried to position the figure sketch in a way that matched the texture. The muse of solitude...
"She who walks alone" This piece is of special meaning to me. It was my first painting ever sold. The following is an absolute real story - I hope it can inspire some of you: I was stuck in a time of fiancial need, and urgently needed about 400€ to move foreward with an investment that could potentially open my way into a small buisness. Mountain Water Clouds & Moon - Some work in progress pictures
Finally I did it. This picture was a lot of work, even if it may not look so. There are lots and lots of layers of soft grey washes done here. It may not reach the hundred-mark, but I am sure there are about 60-80 layers. For those who are interested in, I managed to remind my self of taking some work in progress pictures... so here they are: Here you can see... almost nothing.
